Where is the Left Wing?
In case anyone is wondering about the significance of the eagle image that you see on the Muster broadside, it represents a magificent sculpture perched atop the entrance of Fort Jay, where we will be mustering on Governors Island.
Interestingly, the eagle is missing the left wing.
However, at top and center, a Phrygian cap, symbol of liberty during the French and American Revolutions, survives!
